WORK EXPERIENCE
Farm, A Flex Company, Hollis NH - Industrial Designer
SEP2022- Present
As an industrial designer at Farm Product Development, I have designed a diverse range of medical products and experiences. I have contributed to projects with large teams and led projects with just me as lead designer, from research all the way through production. I have researched and created anthropometric graphics for the broader design teams' use as reference and to visualize constraints to clients. I have worked closely with human factors engineers during formative user testing and initial user research to develop products that solve important problems backed up by substantial data and reasoning. I have worked closely with in-house and external engineering teams to develop realistic solutions to user challenges that are ready for production and created with design for manufacturing best practices. I have worked with international design teams in Europe and the Middle East, developing a broader professional cultural knowledge and experiencing different design processes. I have gained experience designing wearable electronics, UX/UI displays, large mobile imaging systems, handheld controllers, complex consumables, handheld surgical devices, a variety of medical carts, and various clinical analyzers. I have gained experience in NPI prototype testing and analytics, allowing me to see the direct influence of design decisions on Manufacturing, assembly, and durability. I have utilized physical and digital sketching, digital rendering, prototyping of various fidelities, research, CAD development of various fidelities, animation, graphic design, presentation development, and storytelling skills to aid in my design processes. I have worked with large and small clients such as Medtronic Idexx, Alpfa Medical, Biomerieux, Portal Biotech, and Highridge Medical.
Formation Design Group, Atlanta GA - Industrial Desing Intern
AUG2021 - DEC2021
Created two complex dispensing products from ideation through production directly with the client. This included sketching, sketch rendering, CAD modeling, Keyshot rendering, and prototyping. Contributed to an eco-friendly variation of those two products. Ideated, conceptualized, visualized, and prototyped concepts for a wearable respiratory safety device. Used anthropometry, safety guidelines, manufacturing limitations, and client input to inform design decisions. Created sketch concepts, CAD models, renderings, and prototypes of a wireless wearable listening device. Contributed design concepts for an airplane interior and emergency safety system. Contributed to projects for Shakespeare Lawn and Garden, Airbus, and Kimberly-Clark Kleengaurd.
Kaleidoscope Innovation an Infosys Company, Cincinnati OH - Industrial Design Intern
Contributed to a time and motion study of a complex robotic system with human interaction. Helped develop CMF concepts and visualizations. Created storyboards and instructional diagrams to convey complex medical procedures and standard operational workflows. Sketched and rendered original concepts for client review. Created Solidworks CAD models for both visual representations and functional use. Created full-scale physical prototypes used for medical research. Created concepts and components that reduced manufacturing costs while maintaining a strict aesthetic guideline. Contributed to projects for Amazon Robotics, Baxter, Ethicon, Cognivue, Eyevensus, and Batesville.
SharkNinja, Needham MA - Industrial Design Intern
JUN2020-AUG2020
Created Solidworks CAD models for use in rapid prototyping development for various projects. Contributed and collaborated in ideation sessions. Developed CAD models and Keyshot renders for quick product visualization. Designed sections of appliances that are going into production. Used sketching and rendering to further ideate on a wide range of both Shark and Ninja products. Created storyboards to communicate ideas to other departments.
Milwaukee Tool, Milwaukee WI - Industrial Design Intern
AUG2019-DEC2019

Completed a semester-long project adopted as a future power tool design. Researched and analyzed product use, visual brand language, ergonomics, mechanical layouts, and product solutions. Created digital and analog sketches to present designs to multiple departments. Organized and led meetings and brainstorming sessions to enhance design concepts. Produced a Solidworks CAD model of the final design direction used for full-scale 3D printing and prototype development.
39A Design, Cincinnati OH - Open Innovation Department Intern
JAN2019-MAY2019

Co-led the open innovation department of 39A design consultancy. Responsible for the planning, development, and execution of open innovation events for both 39A and their clientele. Represented 39A internationally by individually developing a variety of product designs and systems for multiple corporate open innovation competitions. Created a visual case study and written proposal to generate additional client work. Partnered in the development of the future 39A brand, logo, and website.
